Description

#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Don’t miss the hit streaming series Reacher

A string of mysterious deaths. A long-classified mission. A young MP with nothing to lose.

1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention.

That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

But office politics isn’t Reacher’s thing. Three questions quickly emerge: Who’s with him, who’s against him, and will the justice he dispenses be the official kind . . . or his own kind?

Book was very predictable. Not the same Reacher I was used to in previous books. Mediocre.

Soooo good! My favorite character, my favorite authors with my favorite writing style did not disappoint once again! I’m always a little sad when I reach the end. Bravo Child brothers, bravo!

Nice to get a look back at Reacher,s career. I loved the twists and turns until very end. Very well structured and lived up to the high standards of the series. Well done!

I liked the throwback to Reacher’s Army days. Opens up a whole new section of writings that are available based on his MP days. Will be interesting if they do more like that.

I love all Jack Reacher’s stories, so I had to buy and read this one. The plot was very good. The major shortcoming for me is that Andrew didn’t sufficiently paint, elaborate, and describe Reacher. The painstaking and deep constant presentation of Reacher’s eccentricities, pedantic inflexibilities, and his unusual and imposing physical appearance was sadly abandoned by Andrew. At the end, we read a story involving Jack Reacher, but we were insufficiently immersed into a Jack Reacher story. I, humbly, ask Andrew to remember we love to be inundated by details about Jack’s quirkiness and oddity. That’s part of the reason we are enamored with Jack Reacher’s stories.

Ok; not the best you’ve done, but fairly interesting.

2/5 stars I’ve read all of the Reacher books and this one is the worst. Lame convoluted plot, shallow characters and stupid ending. Would not recommend. Hal R - Troy MI

Typical Reacher book. Lot of action, Reacher doing things his way and then moving on. Lot of action, excitements, mystery, surprises.
  • Reacher on the prod.

Great story. As usual Reacher does not disappoint.
  • Marginal at best.
