"I LOVED this book!" and "This book is escapism at its very best. It is a beautiful coming of age story with lots of lovely romance mixed in." ~ Laura Carter, Bookish Treasure Blog.

"I absolutely loved it. I really couldn't get enough." ~ Jess, Book Passion for Life Blog
"Oh EM GEE. What the heck just happened to me?? " ... and ... "Can't wait for book 2!" Michelle, All Romance Reviews

An orphaned, small-town, southern girl, held hostage by responsibility and self-doubt.

A Hollywood A-list mega-star, on the run from his latest scandal and with everything to lose.

A chance encounter that leads to an unlikely arrangement and epic love affair that will change them both forever.

When his co-star and real-life girlfriend is caught cheating on him with her married and much older director, A-list hottie, Jack Eversea, finds himself in sleepy Butler Cove, South Carolina. Jack hopes the sultry southern heat in this tiny coastal Lowcountry town will hide him not only from the tabloids and his cheating girlfriend, but his increasingly vapid life and the people who run it. He doesn’t count on meeting Keri Ann Butler.

Keri Ann has relied on herself so long, dealing with her family’s death and the responsibilities of keeping up her family's historic mansion, that boys and certainly the meager offering of eligible boys in Butler Cove, have never figured into her equation. But fate has other plans. Suddenly face to face with the man who played the movie role of her favorite fictional character, Jack has Keri Ann yearning for everything she has previously avoided ... and Jack must decide whether this funny, sassy girl is worth changing his life for, before his mistakes catch up to him.

EVERSEA was a Winter Rose Contest FINALIST 2013. A Library Journal Self-e Selection Title for 2015, and Digital Book Award Winner 2014 (Adult Fiction) Emilia Pisani of Simon & Schuster (judge) says "Great Southern Flavor!" and "Jack is an alluring leading man!"
This Hollywood/Movie Star Romance is book one, the story continues in FOREVER, JACK.

Not a stand-alone. This was frustrating for me. If I am going to buy a book, I’d like to know that it stands alone. No severe cliff hangers. It’s not like it’s an action book that has a million different things going on. It’s a romance story between 2 people. It was well written and decently edited. There’s only a few conversations that seem forced. If the next book was more along the line of 2.99 I’d buy it now. But at 4.99 and I’m not sure if I’ll get to the end of their love story (which everyone knows they’ll end up together) without having to buy yet another book, not gonna happen. But this is all my opinion. I am not a professional. Just someone who reads a LOT.

In the beginning I really enjoyed her wit and writing charm. Felt the book lacked a bit towards the end but overall I enjoyed the story.

I heard about this series in a book group and bought the first book and couldn't stop reading was so happy that it was a series. I love the south and really loved hearing about the low country areas where the book took place. You will really love the characters! K & J forever! 😍
  • Decent story; lackluster writing

I caught several errors during my reading, hence the 3-star review. Admittedly, I'm a critical reader. The story was fine, the characters were good. I just wish the writing had been a little better. I was a little too aware that I was reading (I am someone who enjoys getting lost in a story). I couldn't get lost in this.
  • Finish the story

So we're supposed to get sucked in and buy the second book so we can finish the story. I do not like books that do this. Will not read another one of this author.

AMAZING series. I feel my heart literally swell when I read. Keri Ann is a HILARIOUS narrator! Also, the end of chapter 10 was the best thing I've read in my ENTIRE life. Thank you, Natasha Boyd, for being different from every other romance author out there. Really enjoying this book, and I highly recommend. Update: my favorite part is how relatable the characters are. They don't always say the perfect thing. They don't have these movie-perfect speeches. They're imperfect beings figuring their relationship out. Haven't seen that in a romance novel in a WHILE. Great Job!

This book was awesome! The characters are like real-life people next door. Kerianne (or Keri Ann as Jack calls her)is an innocent young woman working and trying to keep their home until her brother can finish pre-med school. It will then be her time to go to College. Jack is an A-List actor who has insecurities. He has never felt like dealing with them until he meets Keri Ann. I read all four books in this series in three days! I love them. Cannot wait for Beach Wedding. Wonderful writer!

  • Famous actor meets small town girl

Hooked from the very beginning. The author wasted no time introducing Jack and Keri Ann which I appreciated. Jack was a famous actor whose girlfriend was caught cheating. Jack left California to hide away in the small town of Butler Cove Island. His first night in town he met Keri Ann. Even in a small town Jack could not escape his fame. Jack was fortunate to have met Keri Ann and be able to keep his identity and appearance a secret. The banter between the two main characters was steamy, lusty, and delicious. The author scored a home run with witty dialogue. Jack's on the rebound from a broken heart while Keri Ann had no time for a relationship between working and fixing the Butler house. Jack was tired of having other people control his life and tell him what to do. Jack wanted normalcy. Keri Ann was the perfect person for Jack. Keri Ann was not into reading gossip magazines so when she met Jack she knew nothing prior about him. Keri Ann got to treat Jack like a normal guy. Natasha sure knew how to write a sex scene. It was smoldering hot. It was intense. These two characters were so sweet. I treasured those tender moments where learning and exploring ones body brought out such innocent pleasure. This was an epic love affair between a famous young man and an innocent small town girl. Both looking to take a chance on life. Both made sacrifices to benefit others. Together they realized they could achieve success by believing in themselves. The story was a seduction of words that made promises of love and hope. I gripped my kindle firmly in anticipation of their next move. I felt the intensity of the passion. The storyline was the perfect setting for the actor looking to hide away from his celebrity status. A love threatened by fame and an impending contractual agreement with the star. Jack's perfect hideaway did not last long. His search for normalcy came crashing down when his reality of fame strolled in like an abrupt reminder. The most appealing aspect of this story was how little Keri Ann knew about the famous actor. Jack was able to be himself instead of the actor adding to the appeal. Keri Ann's inexperience with guys and her lack of information about Jack heightened the experience. There attraction was needy and intoxicating, with the appeal of forbiddeness. I'm disappointed to learn that this was not the end. More to come. Jack realized he made a mistake and needed to rectify his mistake. Beginnings are great and that was where I want to leave this. I enjoyed the chance they took knowing everything worked against them, but the passion spoke too loudly to deny. The emotional connection was a true bonding moment and even though this was not their moment I can be comfortable accepting what they had. I'm not going to put myself through the turmoil of moving on and making more mistakes to prove what was there from the beginning. So it ends here for me. I will not partake further in the journey.
