Real-life flight attendant Heather Poole has written a charming and funny insider’s account of life and work in the not-always-friendly skies. Cruising Attitude is a Coffee, Tea, or Me? for the 21st century, as the author parlays her fifteen years of flight experience into a delightful account of crazy airline passengers and crew drama, of overcrowded crashpads in “Crew Gardens” Queens and finding love at 35,000 feet. The popular author of “Galley Gossip,” a weekly column for AOL’s award-winning travel website, Poole not only shares great stories, but also explains the ins and outs of flying, as seen from the flight attendant’s jump seat.

This story would make a great movie. I loved reading it; will share it with my daughter, and many other readers. Passion, determination, and dedication are leading qualities to happy family, life, and passengers. Heather Poole takes us for a flight behind her smile, and elegantly opens the door to our curiosity. So much to learn about flying etiquette which all of us should remember on our next trip.

I really enjoyed this book. It's an easy, fun read that's very entertaining. An interest in the subject matter- life of a jet setting flight attendant- would help you enjoy the book even more. The stories are funny and you get some insight into the life of a flight attendant and would most people often think is a very glamours lifestyle. You may even have a new appreciation for your flight attendant after reading this book!

Started reading this book when I had to do some flying this summer. I have a new appreciation for Flight Attendants! This was a fun book to read and just the sort of novel that will get you through a long flight, with several lay overs!

Great book, very informative and entertaining book. I read it in less than a week. Between working night shifts at my civil-service job, my wife and I fly away on vacation 3 to 4 times a year. We are always very respectful to flight attendants and appreciate every thing that they do on our flights. Even more now that I got more insight into what their responsibilities really consist of. During my daily duties I'm charged with having to help and protect people. Not upsets me more than to see people ignore and talk through the safety briefings pre-departure on an airplane. To all the flight attendants out there, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE!!!

Informative and fun; I thoroughly enjoyed peeking into Heathers world and the ups and downs of being in her industry. It's definitely not the field for me but I will surely never look at flight attendants the same way again and that's probably a good thing! She really humanized her industry in a way that I don't think has been done before. A quick fun read for sure!
