    I will start by saying that there were very few things I did not agree with in this book. Such as, one’s spirituality is deeper than what was said. However, I am 25 reading this book, and I wish I had read it when I was 15. I think this being written by a woman makes it even more captivating and compelling.

    I am 25 and I wished I read this book sooner, most of Vilar’s points have become even more of a reality in the 2020s now that social media and dating apps are popular and our world is more globalized than ever.

    Esther Vilar is still alive, and I wonder what she would have to say about todays culture. Although the things she’s already mentioned have come true, or are still currently taking place. One thing I know for sure, I will now continue to seek more knowledge/intelligence and marry a woman under certain conditions, and try my best to never “love” a woman again, or at least until the system changes. Great book!

    Reads like a parody of radical feminist literature with the genders swapped. From a 10,000 ft perspective there’s some ideas worth exploring here, primary how women use soft power to their advantage. I would’ve liked to see more evidence to support her arguments, there’s a couple spots she cites research but this reads more like a manifesto. Since today’s discourse around gender politics usually devolves into “Men oppress women, end of story”, this book is at least another take against that mainstream idea, even if it’s a nuclear hot take. Read this with a critical lens.
