Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don’t have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that’s a lie.

If you have ever said any of these things to yourself . . .
Something else will make me happy.I’m not a good mom.I will never get past this.I am defined by my weight.I should be further along by now.
. . . then you could benefit from the unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity Rachel Hollis has in store for you. In this challenging but conversational book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.

Rachel is real and talks about real issues. More than that, she reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be. Because you really can live with passion and hustle – and give yourself grace without giving up.

Do yourself a favor and read this book. It had me smiling, laughing and crying throughout the chapters. Stop what you’re doing and read it!

This book was OKAY a lot of these types of books literally always say the same things. I picked it up because it was so popular but yeah not worth the read I didn’t bother finishing it but I did read like 3/4 of it.
  • Rachel Hollis is Amazing

I have not picked up a book in at least 4 years because of the daunting task of getting my degree and working full time but now I’m so glad that I have the time to read again. This is the first book I bought and read cover to cover and it had every word God needed me to hear in this moment of my life. Her writing style is amazing and inspiring, it made me want to keep reading through my breaks at work and always squeeze in a few extra minutes at night reading as my eyes were closing but I just didn’t want to stop. I encourage anyone at any walk in their life to read this book! So amazing. I’m definitely going to read it again and I’m buying “Girl Stop Apologizing” right now.

I am not a reader, it is hard for me to continue a book that I start. However, this is a must read! I couldn’t put it down. I read it on the plane traveling to a huge job interview and it was the perfect amount of motivation I needed to nail the interview. You have to read this!!!

  • Meh.

A little too jesus-y for my taste. I got very bored from what feels like a very long blog post after the 1st chapter. There was so much hype about this and I cannot figure out why.
  • Very good read

I really enjoyed this book. It gives you an insight of Rachel’s life and helps you apply life principles to your own daily struggles. I love that she is a Christian and writes about God in this as well. Although I know not everyone has these beliefs, being a Christian myself it was a strong correlation to my life.
