For Taoists everywhere, the New York Times bestseller from the author of The Te of Piglet.

The how of Pooh? The Tao of who? The Tao of Pooh!?! In which it is revealed that one of the world’s great Taoist masters isn’t Chinese--or a venerable philosopher--but is in fact none other than that effortlessly calm, still, reflective bear. A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh! While Eeyore frets, and Piglet hesitates, and Rabbit calculates, and Owl pontificates, Pooh just is.

And that’s a clue to the secret wisdom of the Taoists.

For someone who grew up on Christianity, and after years of hurt from it, now looking into other possible belief systems and knowing nothing about Taoism found this a fun, light hearted, and fascinating way of begging to learn it.
  • amazing intro to taoism

    By planet that can read
I bought this to read to my sisters and teach them about taoism but I quickly learned, that though everything is explained very well, it unpacks a lot of intense ideas that at some points were hard for me to grasp fully. I adored everything about it! it goes deep into some of the principles of taoism via comparisons of simple seeming Winnie the Pooh stories:) def reccomend
  • Great.

Deserves six stars. If you have a problem following which character is talking i wouldn’t share it with people. It means you can’t read.
  • A Beautiful Gem.

What a lovely little book. This book brilliantly shares with the reader the simple beauty of Chinese Taoist philosophical thought through the characters and personalities found in the Winnie the Pooh stories. The only reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5 is that I sometimes found the dialogue between the characters a little difficult to follow. I would need to read it over a few times to try to follow what they were saying. This book is a "keeper". It's definitely worth revisiting again and again. I would say that the audio version of this book is brilliantly narrated and IS 5 star but I recommend reading the book first before you listen to the audio version.
  • Love this book

I loved the book the only downside was determining who’s point of view I was reading from which I found hilarious. Finished this book in a matter of a few hours while writing a book report on it!
