Description

He trusts his gut, she trusts her numbers, and neither trusts the other, as a billionaire's mission to bring hockey to Seattle clashes with his passion for the woman who holds his heart.

Ethan Parker, a billionaire determined to bring professional hockey to Seattle, will stop at nothing to realize his dream. After putting down a hefty deposit on another city's team, the sale is stalled as the parties involved evaluate their options. In the meantime, Ethan’s investors insist he go undercover during the playoffs to get the inside scoop.

Lauren Schneider, assistant director of player personnel, gets no respect from the team's testosterone-loaded staff. When Ethan bursts onto the scene, full of charm and genuinely interested in her opinions, she shares the team's weaknesses and discovers a weakness of her own—for Ethan. But when his true identity is revealed, and he starts cleaning house based on her input, his betrayal cuts deeply on both a professional and personal level. Bound by an employment contract, Lauren reluctantly moves to Seattle to work for the newly christened Seattle Sockeyes and her sexy, infuriating boss.

Lauren and Ethan must come to terms with their passions—for the team, for hockey, and for each other. Will their situation build a frozen wall between them, or will their love burn hot enough to melt the ice shielding their hearts?

This was an excellent and fast paced read that was so good I couldn’t put it down and read straight through. Informative about NHL team formation as well as informative travel tidbits. Overall enjoyable. Dare I say prophetic?

I enjoyed this book. Couldn't put it down. Author does a good job with her characters and her hockey knowledge. She takes me away to Puget Sound and Seattle. I love to be drawn into the story with her characters and settings.

This was a huge disappointment! Of course the sappy, cliche ending would end with the guy not sorry for his deceiving actions and the girl would just forgive him!

This is a sweet sexy romance. Jami Davenport chose not only to have a alpha billionaire but also a strong intelligent heroine. This speaks to all women everywhere that are trying to breakout into the all male management club. In this book as well as real life left this leaves females having a sense of lesser value. I commend Jami for this story line. The new sport series should be a success.
  • What A Hockey Romance Legend

What a Romance Hockey Legend. To see a franchise team build from the start and what all it takes. I know this is one of several in a series. Even if there weren't books to follow this could be a stand alone. I don't recommend it though. Once you read "Skating on Thin Ice" you will want to know the rest of the story. Ethan Parker is such an up standing citizen with great values. He hates to deceive those he will come close to but he has to for the greater good. Not just for personal gain but for gain of those in the Seattle area. Lauren is a woman trying to make it in a man's world. She has been burned before and it takes a lot for her to trust. Once you've gained her trust she given it openly but if you lose it, it's gone. Will it be gone forever? Can these two work out their misgivings for the greater good or even for love? Jami Davenport is an amazing author. Her writings make you feel the emotions her characters are going through, good or bad. She makes you see the story as it unfolds. I love her writings to say the least. I recommend this book and many others by her. She won't disappoint you.

When Ethan decided to buy a hockey team and move it to Seattle his dream was finally coming true. Then the owner put a gag order in place so he goes under cover. Little did he know he would fall in love with Lauren the teams assistant director of players personal . When his secret came out he really had to work not only to win her back but to convince the team moving was for the best.
